Workshops & Training
We pass on the craft we were given. Short intensives, week-long residencies, and ongoing mentorship — always with tribal and rural youth as the authors of their own stories.
Our Approach
CICADA's workshops sit directly in the lineage of the Green Hub Fellowship — one of India's most rigorous programmes for conservation and community filmmaking. Both our co-founders trained there. Our job now is to pass that craft forward.
We design every session around four pillars: story development, camera handling, editing fundamentals, and community-consent documentation. Theory is minimal. Field work is heavy.
Workshops run as 2-day intensives, 3-day village documentation sprints, or week-long residencies with a partner NGO. Participants always leave with a finished short film of their own — and, more importantly, the belief that their story is worth telling in the first place.

Commission a Workshop
NGOs, schools, tribal councils, CSR teams — if you have youth, a venue, and the belief that their stories matter, we can build a programme around that.
